Our Facility

A sustainable facility seeks to ensure that each building has a greatly reduced, or even neutral, impact on the environment.

The minds behind KVA are determined that all the operations of the Facility are green. All activity is to be carried out without impacting the environment negatively and function in the best interests of the Kilifi community we will be establishing ourselves in as well as contributing to a healthy planet.

Technologies we will deploy will include:

• Use of recycled shipping containers for the entire facility.

• Solar systems for clean energy to power the facility and run operations.

• Desalination of ocean water to eliminate use of scarce ground-water.

• Hydroponic exterior walls to assist with cooling of the facility as well as design for cross ventilation, taking note of prevalent wind directions and speeds.

• Paper and plastics recycling as commercial endeavors.

• Bio digesters to recycle organic waste.
