Our Curriculums
This facility in Kilifi will have a singular focus on introducing school-dropouts, disadvantaged students in poorly-equipped county schools, and persons with disabilities to the tech-heavy field of visual arts.
We have crafted curriculums in the fields of photography, videography, drone technology and graphic design to educate students on how to create visual art works that communicate, challenge and express their own and others' ideas. Post-production editing techniques in each of those specialties will also be on offer.
The curriculums in each specialty are designed to follow an incremental approach to teaching and learning by increasing the complexity of concepts as the student progresses through the beginner to professional level. The content objectives outlined in each of the strand units observe a spiral progression as the curriculum advances.
KVA will also have entrepreneur classes to ensure graduates are well equipped for the job market or to start their own businesses with what we have taught them.
Lastly, what most excites us about our programmes is that students will get the opportunity to develop their portfolios and each will have a landing page on KVA’s website. These individual pages for graduating students will detail their credentials, their sample works and contact details. The students will be able to access these to share with prospective employers or for client reference purposes when seeking out commercial engagements. These web pages will also be promoted on KVA’s social media to bring more exposure to our students.
